Out of disk space?
You have options:
-
Windows gives you a tool called DISK CLEANUP. Click on start > Programs
> Accessories > System tools > Disk Cleanup. This helps remove files
that are not important to your system, thereby in some cases opening up
a lot of space.
-
Use ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in control panel. This will remove any
program. Use this to remove any programs you no longer use. Remember, once
removed you would have to reinstall the program (software). This
can free up large amounts of space.
-
Add an external hard drive. The external drive is more expensive
than an internal drive, but you can install it yourself and it can be moved
from computer to computer easily. Not recommended for Windows 95 or lower.
-
Add an internal hard drive. The cost of the actual drive is lower, but
unless you do it yourself, the overall cost is increased. Check carefully
into this if your computer is old (slow). It may be more economical to
upgrade to a new computer system.
