Startup(bootup)
Computer has power light on, but nothing is happening on the monitor screen. Check to see if monitor may have disconnected from back of computer and reconnect.
Computer will not boot up. Shut down the computer, wait two minutes, and then turn the computer back on.
Monitor displays a black and white menu asking what mode you want to start in. Choose SAFE mode and press enter key (return key).Wait for computer to start up in SAFE mode.  (This takes longer than a regular (normal) startup.)  Next, shut down the computer again, wait two minutes, then start the computer again.

Software There is an error message saying a file cannot be found. Reinstall the software.
*Special note:  If the software handles data, try to back up (copy) the data to a disk before you reinstall.

Printers
Inkjet printer Printed paper has horizontal stripes across the black or color is missing on horizontal stripes (i.e. red, blue, yellow). Replace ink cartridge.
There is a message saying that printer cannot be found. Check to see that printer is turned on, plugged in, and connected to the computer.
Laserjet printer Printed paper has vertical stripes across the black. Replace toner cartridge.
There is a message saying that printer cannot be found. Check to see that printer is turned on, plugged in, and connected to the computer.
